our approach

Bloom is a homeschool collective dedicated to fostering a welcoming, supportive environment that enriches both educational and social experiences. Our classes emphasize hands-on learning, creativity, movement, and meaningful peer interaction.

Bloom is not politically driven, and our general education and enrichment classes do not include political advocacy or formal religious instruction. However, our organizational culture and leadership are guided by Christian conservative values, including integrity, respect for others, personal responsibility, family-centered decision-making, and community engagement. Families remain the primary guide for their children’s moral, spiritual, and social development.

Our programming is intentionally focused on enrichment and skills-based learning. As such, Bloom does not provide instruction on identity-based ideologies or contemporary social movements, including but not limited to topics related to gender identity or sexual orientation. These matters are best addressed by families according to their own values and readiness.

Bloom exists to support families, not replace parental leadership, and strives to create a learning environment where children can grow, connect, and thrive without ideological pressure.

so, what is bloom?

bloom: a homeschool collective is a community-centered program designed for homeschooling families in southeast Michigan. The program offers enrichment opportunities such as weekly classes, social events, field trips, and interest-based clubs for children ages 4-13.

Classes are organized in 8-12 week trimesters, meeting once per week. Full drop-off is offered when spots are available; however, volunteering is highly encouraged to ensure the program’s success.
